Improve Your Quality of Life in 30s

Every moment of every day we position our bodies according to what we see.

Imagine the unconscious stacking of your head, jaw, shoulders, etc., over long periods of time, directly creating and affecting how you hold yourself up and move in the world around you.

When our eye muscles are weak or unsynchronized, they lead us to misalign our bodies. Unfortunately for most of us, eye imbalances are quite common. Our bodies are told to align improperly by our eyes, and this leads to pains and inflammation over time.

Now that we know this relationship, we can understand that it’s pretty important to exercise our eyeballs so that these muscles stay toned and mobile, while moving in synchronicity. If we get our eyes moving well, we will positively impact how we unconsciously set our posture, and hopefully lessen unnecessary aches throughout our body. I often see people work very hard with Pilates, strength training, and yoga to help their posture. It seems like we’ll all have even better results when we start with vision work, which is how I now begin many of my classes.

Start with 30s-1min a day at a time when it’s easy to remember. When I see my toothbrush, I now use it as a focus-tool for some eye exercises once or twice a day. I’m sure I’ll start adding in other quick and easy reminders that I can work into my life.
