about
RECNXN = reconnection
Enjoyable movement reconnects.
Together, we will adapt how you move in your every day, strengthen your body, increase your mobility and balance, learn how to prevent future injuries, rehabilitate current pain points, de-stress the body and mind, and feel amazing. Get ready for low-impact, mobility-building, body-strengthening, mind and nervous system calming, enjoyable movement.
Leila Panjvani started RECNXN over a decade ago with the idea that fun, healthy, functional movement in our day-to-day reconnects us with our bodies, our environment, and our communities. She believes it’s time to re-assess and renew our movement patterns so our bodies can carry us to our favourite people and places with greater ease for longer. It’s time to take off our shoes and play barefoot outside again.
Leila’s movement practice draws on elements from rehab programs, breathwork, Pilates, yoga, Feldenkrais, dynamic-neuromuscular stability training, resistance training, functional movement, dance, sports, meditation, and animal flows — and life in general!
You can find Leila in Toronto and Guelph. Half Indian and half Scottish, Leila is a social and environmental justice advocate. She feels alive and at home hiking in nature across the beautiful country, tasting locally-farmed foods, exploring arts and crafts, and helping people enjoy movement.

“She has the most beautiful, gentle and nurturing soul and is a genius when it comes to pushing her clients while respecting their bodies and injuries”

“I feel privileged to be able to take her classes and have been able to grow and develop my own form of exercising in a large part because of Leila. Thank you, Leila, for being you and for showing up and giving all of your classes and students 100% of you every single time.”
- Dr. Lori Goldenberg; DDS, MSc, FRDC(C)
“I've been working with Leila for almost two years, and she has transformed my life and every day movement. Not only has she helped me get stronger and more confident, but she’s also re-taught me essential skills—like how to pick things up properly to protect my back, and small but important adjustments to my gait. We work on both long-term goals and weekly targeted areas, and every class is different. Her deep knowledge and care about the functioning of the body have been instrumental in helping to heal from injury, all while making me feel empowered, resilient and flexible. On top of all of that, she's the sweetest and most encouraging person you could ask for in a teacher. If you're looking for a Pilates instructor who’s kind, knowledgeable, genuinely invested in your wellbeing, and willing to make the effort to truly personalize your Pilates experience, Leila is the one.”
- Katherine MacLellan
“I can’t say enough about Leila, she is constantly trying to improve herself everyday and has become a tremendous person and fitness trainer. I would recommend that anyone that wants to improve and meet their fitness goals take one of Leila’s classes to commence what will be an incredible journey.”
